In cities and towns across the United States the night of the Fourth of July is set aside or fireworks. Major cities such as Chicago, Washington, and Los Angeles put on large displays. The most well known is the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Show along the East River of New York in Manhattan. The show draws popular celebrities and entertainers who put on live shows before the fireworks which start at approximately 9:20pm every year.
