July 4th is also known as Independence Day throughout the United States. It is a holiday set aside to mark the thirteen original colonies declaring their independence from Great Briton. It's a federal holiday in the United States and in many cities there are parades, parties and other celebrations that usually end with a firework show at the end of the night.
